DemiCon Hotel Reservations

Ladies and Gentlemen, if you haven't made your reservation for DemiCon yet, please do so soon.... We had a meeting with the hotel today and at this moment, DemiCon attendees have 125 out of 190 hotel rooms. Yes, we blocked the entire hotel this year, because we are opposite Drake Relays. In order to expedite your reservation, you may make it online using the Code DC27 or by calling the hotel directly, 515-278-4755. If you choose the latter, do not let them transfer you to the reservation line, speak directly with someone at the front desk. Nick is the Front Desk Manager.

Looking for a Mascot DMSFS is looking for a mascot.  We want to add a recognizable mascot to help promote not only the club, but the convention as well.  The club is asking for submissions by our members and friends.  Submissions will be aYouccepted until February 25 (our next meeting).  This is not only open to the artists among us,but to anyone.  Even if you can't draw a straight line with a stick (that would be me), write up a description of your mascot idea and either bring it to the meeting on the 25th or send it in to us.  You can email your suggestions to  We would suggest that folks try to come up with 2 ideas, but if all you can get is one, we will gladly take that as well.
